Many of our guests are looking specifically for dog friendly holiday cottages in Kent. We understand that when you have a family pet, you don't always want to leave them behind, as it can be both heart-wrenching and expensive.
So at Hawthorn Farm, we offer a welcome "home from home" experience for all... In fact we welcome all types of pets - whether they're four or two legged, furry or feathered, they're all welcome to stay! We simply charge a flat £25 per stay for up to 2 pets in each of our pet friendly cottages.
Hawthorn Farm is an ideal holiday destination for dogs!
Right in the heart of orchard country, and close to the famous Saxon Shore Way and Stour Valley walks - you won't be short of wonderful dog-walking opportunities when you come to stay at Hawthorn Farm!
We have about 2 acres on-site for you to enjoy with your dog on a lead, but we thoroughly recommend you take them to explore the surrounding countryside, as you can walk for miles of uninterrupted Kentish countryside.
Explore Kent has designed a number of excellent dog friendly walks - they're circular routes offering a variety of distances, inclines and terrain for you to enjoy with your dog. And if you'd like to go out for a few hours without your pet, we can put you in touch with one of our friendly local pet sitters.
You'll find a doggy basket in each of the pet-friendly cottages, which includes dog treats and poo bags, as well as the following items to borrow/use while you're here:
- Dog bowl
- Spare pet blanket
- A few toys
- A disinfectant spray in case of accidents
- A pet hair removing brush
- A pet wash bag in case you need to use the washing machine
- 2 temporary dog tags with our phone number, in case your dogs go walkabout!
