Spreading the cost of your holiday
We are now offering the option of more flexible payment terms to help you plan your holiday at Hawthorn Farm Cottages. By booking at least 4 months in advance, and by choosing our interest free monthly payment plan, you'll give yourself plenty of time to pay for your dream holiday in the Kentish countryside...
After you have chosen your preferred dates and cottage/s and proceeded to make a booking on the Hawthorn Farm website, you will have the option to select "Interest Free Monthly Instalments" as your payment method. You'll pay a reduced initial deposit (25% of the booking total, instead of 30%), and the remaining cost can be spread across any number of monthly payments, as long as your stay is paid for in full within 8 weeks of your arrival.
The ability to pay in installments (reduced deposit and remaining balance) is available to anyone, regardless of credit history. And even better news? We won't charge you any interest!

The maximum number of monthly instalments we can offer you will depend on how far in advance you book your holiday. For example, you will be offered up to 10 monthly instalments if your booking is made 12 months in advance.
Terms and conditions
THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET OUT IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS. PLEASE READ THEM CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU AGREE TO PAYING BY MONTHLY INSTALMENTS (WHETHER ONLINE OR BY EMAIL OR BY TELEPHONE).
1. These terms and conditions relating to our "Spread the Cost" offer ("The Offer") apply in addition to, and should be read alongside, our Standard Booking Terms and Conditions and any related policies detailed on this Site.
2. If any of the provisions in these terms and conditions or the Booking Conditions or policies conflict, the provisions of these terms and conditions will apply to The Offer.
3. The Offer is only available for Bookings where you are not required to pay in full at the time of booking. For example, The Offer will not be available if you make a booking less than 8 weeks before the date of your arrival, and may not be particularly helpful if you make a booking less than 4 months before your date of arrival.
4. When you enquire about The Offer, if it is available, we will give you a proposed Payment Schedule, detailing the payment amounts and the dates that these will become due. Depending on the length of time between your Booking date and the start of your holiday, we will calculate the maximum number of equal payments, so that you can choose how many instalments you would like to pay, so that you end up paying for your holiday in full within 8 weeks of your arrival.
5. When The Offer is available, and you agree to proceed, we will require you to pay the Reduced Deposit of 25% at the time you make your booking.
6. If you cancel your booking or fail to make any of the monthly payments, you will be responsible for paying any difference between the usual 30% deposit (the amount that you would have paid if we had not made The Offer available to you), and the total amount you have paid to date - the "Deposit Balance". You will be quoted what your initial deposit would have been during the Booking Process. We will refund any over-payments, subject to our usual Cancellation Terms.
7. There is no charge for The Offer, however, if you cancel your booking or fail to make any of the monthly payments, a nominal administration fee of £25 will be added to the amount owing as described in paragraph 6.
8. When you make a Booking and agree to proceed with The Offer, you also agree that you will authorise our card payment processing company, "Stripe", to take the following payments, as and when they become payable by you, from either a debit or credit card:
a) the Reduced Deposit on the date of your Booking - as described in paragraph 5;
b) the remaining instalments as per the Payment Schedule - as described in paragraph 4;
The instalment payments will be administered as a "monthly subscription payment" via Stripe, and we will not hold your card details on file.
c) the Deposit Balance (if applicable) plus the administration fee on the date that you cancel your booking or fail to make any of the monthly payments - as described in paragraphs 6 and 7.
9. We reserve the right to withdraw The Offer at any time.
10. By making a Booking with us, and agreeing to proceed with The Offer, you confirm that you accept all these terms and conditions and that you agree to comply with them.
