Staying at Hawthorn Farm for Work

Do you have to work away from home in SE Kent? Does the idea of another poky boring corporate hotel room, or the thought of dreary hotel meals day after day fill you with dread? Our beautiful self catering cottages at Hawthorn Farm make a perfect comfortable home-from-home base for anyone travelling to the area for work!

I’ve been coming to Kent for work for a number of years, but have only recently discovered the fantastic cottages at Hawthorn Farm. Thank you so much for managing to accommodate me. Now I actually look forward to working away from home!

The cottages at Hawthorn Farm are ideal if you're travelling to SE Kent for work

Hawthorn Farm in Ware, near Ash, is a great base for anyone coming to work in Ramsgate, Canterbury, Sandwich, Wingham and the surrounding areas... With a fully equipped kitchen in your cottage, you can enjoy the meals you really want, when you want them. You can put your feet up and relax after work - no more having to spend the evening watching TV or working on your laptop propped up on the bed! There's free WiFi, space to work and if you need to arrive late, we can arrange a self-check in. We even have in-house copying facilities and projector hire, if you forget to bring your own, or need one in an emergency!

The accommodation

With four cottages and a luxury annexe to the main farm house, we can accommodate up to 20 people in 10 bedrooms at Hawthorn Farm. Each cottage can be rented individually from 4 nights to 28 days, or all together if you have a group that would like to stay close by but not having to share one large property. Please note that the minimum stay for group bookings (3 cottages or more) is 7 nights and subject to availability.

Primrose Cottage

Sleeps up to 5 people in two bedrooms (with 5 separate beds or one superking, a small double and 2 singles). It's our largest cottage at the end of the terrace of three, with views of the playing field and hay/wildflower meadows out the back. Primrose Cottage has a large wetroom with electric shower and a fully equipped kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, Lavazza coffee machine, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.

Foxglove Cottage

Sleeps up to 4 people in two bedrooms (with 3 separate beds). The twin bedroom can be made up as a super-king (6 foot) bed if you prefer. A detached cottage, with a pretty gravel courtyard and ample parking right outside. There's also a picnic table under the shade of the trees behind the courtyard - perfect for an al fresco breakfast or evening meal after work in the warmer months!

Rowan Cottage

Sleeps up to 5 people in three bedrooms (4 separate beds: two singles, a double and a king). In the middle of the terrace of three, with an open plan lounge, kitchen/breakfast area. The twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom can also be made up as a super-king (6 foot) bed if you prefer.

Cherry Tree Cottage

Sleeps up to 4 people in two bedrooms (3 separate beds). The twin bedroom can be made up as a super-king (6 foot) bed if you prefer. The cottage is at the end of the terrace of three, with views on two sides of the paddocks, playing field and hay/wildflower meadows. It's the perfect cosy base for families and business travellers alike.

Pear Tree Cottage

Available for 20 weeks a year, from late spring until early autumn. Pear Tree Cottage sleeps up to 2 people in a luxury suite, annexed to the main farm house. Large kingsize bedroom with smart TV and seating area. Separate fully equipped kitchen, with Nespresso coffee machine, full size fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. The luxury spa bathroom has a Jacuzzi bath, Bluetooth speakers and a large walk-in shower. Pear Tree Cottage has it's own private garden adjacent to the pear orchards, with its own barbeque and seating under the shade of the poplar and fig trees.

And when you're not out working...

You can spend time enjoying the the many different cultural and historic attractions of Kent, or perhaps take the opportunity for some great shopping! Wingham, Canterbury, Broadstairs, Ramsgate, Walmer and Deal are all within easy reach of Hawthorn Farm. So whether you're staying for our minimum 4 nights, or for a longer stay, there really is something for everyone: the beautiful beaches, the picturesque medieval towns, the castles, country pubs, fine dining, and of course the acres of fruit orchards which make the aptly named ‘Garden of England’ the perfect place to stay at any time of the year!
