What do we need to pack?

If you've not been on a self-catering holiday before, you may be wondering what to pack, as it's a bit different to staying in a hotel or a B&B. The (fun) challenge is to find a balance between having to purchase essentials locally that you could have brought from home, and packing so much stuff that you have to dig yourselves out of the car when you get there!

At Hawthorn Farm, we aim to provide a holiday home from home, and you'll find the cottages are well equipped with all the essentials for a break away. You will probably have some things that you can't live without - your own pillow, or a favourite towel, a special kitchen tool that you want to bring  - but rest assured - you could probably just come with a bag of toiletries and a change of clothes, and you'll be perfectly fine!

You'll be most welcome to place an online order with one of the supermarkets for delivery on the day of your arrival. If the delivery time is before 4pm, we'll even unpack any perishables and pop them in the fridge/freezer for you - just let us know.

All the cottages at Hawthorn Farm have the following

•  Fully equipped kitchen (electric oven/hob, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, crockery, cutlery, pans etc.)
•  Egyptian Cotton bed linen, towels and bath mat (changed after 7 days if requested)
•  2 tea-towels and an oven glove
